A man was arrested in Salinas last week for the December robbery of medical marijuana outside of a Santa Cruz hospital, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said. The robbery happened on Dec. 9 at about 10:30 p.m. at the Dominican Hospital. The victim had arranged on Craigslist to meet the suspect to sell him medical marijuana, the sheriff’s office said. But instead of buying the marijuana, the suspect stole it.

Investigators identified him as 21-year-old Vincent Turner and linked him to another armed robbery of marijuana in Elk Grove. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Monterey police and other law enforcement found and arrested Turner at about 1:45 p.m. last Wednesday in Salinas, the sheriff’s office said. Anyone with information about similar robberies has been asked to call.
