Suspect arrested in San Francisco for allegedly shooting a man in the torso

A man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District this evening, according to police.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was found shot in the torso in the 1500 block of Revere Avenue at about 7:40 p.m., police said.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The extent of his injuries was not immediately disclosed.

Officers found a suspect’s vehicle near the corner of Newall Street and La Salle Avenue a short time later, and the driver fled, police said.

The suspect later got out of the vehicle and ran, chased by police who eventually caught him on Dorman Avenue, police said.
