A male victim was found fatally stabbed on a sidewalk in southern San Jose this morning, police said.
At about 1:40 a.m., San Jose police received a 911 call reporting that a person was down on a sidewalk in the 400 block of Willow Glen Way and not moving, police said.
Officers responded to the scene and located the male victim who appeared to have been stabbed. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the homicide are under investigation and no suspects have been identified or apprehended as of this morning, officers said.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin, police said.
His death marks San Jose’s second homicide of 2014, according to police.
