An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man at a Salinas motel on Saturday evening, police said. At 7:13 p.m. Saturday, police received a report of a stabbing at the Continental Motel at 1165 N. Main St., Salinas police Sgt. Henry Gomez said. Officers arrived at the motel and found a 46-year-old man suffering from stab wound to his abdomen. Emergency responders had him flown to a Bay Area hospital for treatment, Gomez said. The suspect, Aldo Daniel Ramos, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. Gomez said Ramos had been arguing with a family member in one of the rooms at the motel when the victim, who was in a neighboring room, tried to intervene. The two got into a fight and the victim was stabbed, according to police. He is expected to survive. Ramos was booked into Monterey County Jail, police said.
