Palm Bay police say Joshua Lee Werbicki was caught on camera having allegedly sex with a family’s German shepherd mix.
Last Friday, police arrested 22-year-old Joshua Lee Werbicki at a Papa John’s restaurant on Minton Road, on accusations he repeatedly had sex with his family’s German Sheppard mix, according to police documents.
Police say the dog will remain in her custody until police finish their work on the case. Healy said his agency could potentially seek an injunction to have Werbicki banned from owning, or living with, any type of animals in Brevard County.
Police documents show the owner of the dog told police the pet has been limping noticeably and has signs of physical injury caused by the activity. Police say the dog has also been showing signs of fear when approached by family members.
Police say the alleged sexual acts were recorded by in-home surveillance cameras.
Werbicki was arrested and booked on charges of cruelty to animals and sexual acts involving animals. Court records show cruelty to animals is a felony crime, while sex with animals is a misdemeanor.
