Two young men and a juvenile were arrested in Brentwood on New Year’s Day after allegedly robbing a home where two of the suspects had recently been invited as guests, police said today. Police said officers responded around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday to reports of a home invasion robbery at a house in the 800 block of Greenstone Court. Upon arrival, officers intercepted the four suspects as they were leaving in a car. As officers pursued the car, one of the suspects tossed a pistol from the vehicle.

The car then stopped on Autumn Valley Way, where the suspects tried to flee on foot, police said. Police said officers quickly located and detained two of the suspects, a 16-year-old boy and Anthony Tafoya, 20, both from Pittsburg. The robbery victims positively identified the pair and told officers that at least two of the suspects had recently been invited to their home as guests, according to police. Police said officers later located a third suspect, identified as 18-year-old Alvin Patterson, of Brentwood.

The gun thrown from the suspects’ car was also found. All three suspects were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and false imprisonment. Detectives are working to identify and find the fourth suspect, police said.
