A Mexican national murder suspect was captured in Petaluma this week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said today. Mario Alberto Hernandez-Huerta, 32, was captured at a home in Petaluma on Friday and handed over to Mexican law enforcement today, according to ICE officials.
Hernandez-Huerta allegedly shot Christian Trujillo Rodriguez multiple times on May 28, 2012 after Rodriguez threw a rock at his home following an argument, officials said. Hernandez-Huerta had been previously deported from the United States in 2000 after his conviction in Oakland on assault with a firearm charges.
