A person is clinging to life this morning after being shot late Friday night in East Oakland, police said. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2300 block of 96th Avenue at about 11:10 p.m., Officer J. Moore said. When officers arrived they found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Moore said. The victim was transported to a hospital and remained in “grave” condition this morning, according to Moore. No suspect information was immediately available and no arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate the shooting.
