The Avoid the 13 Sonoma County DUI Task Force made eight arrests during a DUI operation on Saturday night. County law enforcement officials conducted 47 attempted compliance checks between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Three people were found in violation of probation and two were arrested.
Charges will be filed against the third individual, police said. County law enforcement officials also stopped 79 vehicles during the operation and 30 drivers underwent field sobriety tests. Four people were arrested for DUI and one was arrested for a parole violation, police said. Funding for the task force was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
