Oakland police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who they believe shot a woman near the Alameda County administration building this morning. The woman, who was taken to a hospital in stable condition, was shot in front of the Oasis Restaurant and Bar at 135 12th St. shortly after 8 a.m., police said.

The restaurant is across the street from the county administration building and also is near the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse. Oakland police said the suspect is 55-year-old Cedric Webb. Police released a photo of Webb, who is described as a 6-foot-tall black man who weighs about 180 pounds. Police said he was driving a black 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with the license plate No. 5ELN015.
