A bank along San Francisco’s Van Ness Avenue was robbed on Monday afternoon by a man who pushed aside a customer before demanding cash, police said today. The robbery was reported at about 1:40 p.m. at a bank in the 500 block of Van Ness Avenue. The suspect, believed to be a man in his mid 20s, entered the bank, pushed aside a customer at a window and demanded money from a teller, according to police.
After a second teller came over to assist, the man was handed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. He had not been found as of this morning, police said. No weapon was seen and no one was injured in the robbery, police said.
