Two armed, masked men robbed the Super Stop market late Thursday night, a Benicia police lieutenant said. The men pointed silver handguns at a female clerk and demanded money around 10:25 p.m., Lt. Scott Przekurat said. A customer inside the market at 816 Southampton Road was forced to lie on the floor at gunpoint, but neither the clerk nor customer was injured, Przekurat said. The robbers escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspects are white males, 20-30 years old, around 6 feet and between 160-170 pounds. One suspect was wearing a gray hoodie, dark gloves and dark pants and a bandana on his face, Przekurat said. The second suspect was wearing a black hoodie, gloves, a black mask and dark jeans. The men fled through the rear of the market and were not found during an extensive search, Przekurat said.
