Investigators are working to identify an armed man who robbed a convenience store in Salinas on Tuesday afternoon, police said. Shortly after 1 p.m., police received a report of an armed robbery at Quiik-e-Mart at 154 W. Market St. According to police, a suspect wearing all black entered the store with a firearm.
He demanded money from the clerk and then ran away with cash. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 23 or 24 years of age, standing 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 150 pounds. Police are continuing to investigate the robbery.
