Teen Cartel Killer Released from Mexican Prison, Set Free in the US



A 17-year-old boy, Edgar Jimenez Lugo, who confessed to being a Drug Cartel hit man assassin and murdering 11 people was released from a prison in Mexico after serving 3 years for homicide, kidnapping and drug and weapons possession. In one case, he beheaded 4 men and hung their bodies from a freeway overpass.

According to the Mexican government, he was trying to flee to the US when he was captured by the Mexican military. They state that three years is the maximum term that juveniles can serve for crime in Mexico. He is an American citizen and is being deported back to the US. but is not facing any charges in the US. He will be a free person in the US. American Embassy officials declined to answer any questions, citing privacy concerns.
