Three suspects in a stolen car were taken into custody early this morning following a high-speed chase from Contra Costa County to Alameda County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said the pursuit began at about 11:18 p.m. Monday on state Highway 4 near the Willow Pass Road exit in Concord reaching speeds of up to 100 mph.

Officers pursued the vehicle, described as a 2013 Chevy Cruze, onto southbound Interstate Highway 680, to westbound Interstate Highway 580 until the Castro Valley Boulevard exit, according to the CHP. The chase ended in Castro Valley at about 12:05 a.m. when officers laid spike strips in the roadway, causing the car to come to a stop. Three suspects were taken into custody without further incident, according to the CHP.
