A bicyclist was struck and injured in a hit-and-run collision this evening in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, according to police. A suspect struck a bicyclist at 7th and Mission streets around 7 p.m. today before leaving the scene, according to Officer Gordon Shyy.

The bicyclist was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment, and the extent of injuries was unknown this evening, Shyy said. The suspect vehicle is described as a white van, most likely with front-end damage and possibly a shattered window, Shyy said. Anyone with information is asked to contact San Francisco police.
