Five people at public housing apartments in Marin City were arrested this morning on narcotics charges, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said. The arrests were for possession of cocaine, marijuana or drug paraphernalia. Those arrested are Deric Eure Sr. 46, Stephen Ashby, 47, Kashif Ashby, 24, Tonya Rainey, 30, all of Marin City, and Sharolyn Stevenson, 46, of Oakland. A 25-year-old man was arrested for being a parolee at large.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit served the five search warrants around 7:30 a.m. More than 40 law enforcement officers from the sheriff’s office and police from Mill Valley, San Rafael and Novato assisted with the operation. The arrest warrants were executed after the sheriff’s office received numerous complaints of narcotics transactions occurring in public housing apartments in Marin City.
