Several Injured in String of Shootings in Oakland

Several people were injured in at least four different shootings and other incidents that occurred in Oakland on Sunday, police said today.

Around 1:45 a.m., at least one person was injured after two suspects armed with a gun and knife were reported in the 1300 block of 65th Avenue, police said.

The victim, who was possibly stabbed, was transported to the hospital in stable condition, police said. Two victims were shot in a separate incident near 73rd Avenue and International Boulevard around 4:25 p.m.

That was followed by a shooting around 7:20 p.m. on 88th Avenue. The victims told police they had been shot at and chased in their car into San Leandro, where they crashed. The victims crashed into a parked car at the First United Credit Union parking lot, located near Bancroft and Dutton avenues in San Leandro.

A fourth incident was reported at 8:49 p.m. at 28th and West streets. A victim suffered minor injuries in the shooting. The suspect fled and remains at large, police said. The victim was able to get to the hospital on their own, where they were reportedly in stable condition, police said.
