A Marin County man was arrested for driving under the influence after he drove over a 20-foot embankment onto U.S. Highway 101 early this morning in Petaluma, according to police. Shortly before 1 a.m. Andrew Fedeli, 44, was driving north on Petaluma Boulevard approaching a construction zone on the Old Redwood Highway overpass, police said.

Police said Fedeli drove through the construction site and off a 20-foot embankment before his vehicle came to a rest on the side of southbound U.S. Highway 101. Fedeli and a passenger in his vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both were released from the hospital. Police arrested Fedeli on suspicion of driving under the influence with injury and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail.
