A man wanted by immigration authorities for being a previously deported aggravated felon was arrested on drug charges Friday in Petaluma, police said. Officers approached Manuel Tafolla Solorio, 31, in a parking lot in the first block of Magnolia Avenue around 8:50 p.m. Friday, according to police. Police learned Solorio is wanted by immigration authorities for being a previously deported aggravated felon who had re-entered the country illegally.
Officers found methamphetamine and a pipe for smoking the drug in Solorio’s possession. Officers also found 5 ounces of methamphetamine and evidence of narcotics sales in his car, according to police. Solorio was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of possession of controlled substances for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
