Police in Napa are asking the public for help finding a man who has a warrant for his arrest in Georgia. Around 3 p.m. on Thursday, a Napa police officer saw Sean Patrick McKnight, 30, a transient, standing near his bicycle in the 500 block of Coombs Street, near Division Street, police said. The officer pulled alongside McKnight and, as he got out of his car, McKnight fled on his bicycle, according to police.

After a short pursuit, McKnight got off his bike and ran in the 500 block of Brown Street, into a yard and then jumped over a fence, at which time the officer lost track of him, police said. A perimeter was set to search for McKnight, but he could not be found. McKnight, a white man with short brown hair and a short beard, was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and light blue jeans.
