Police released a sketch of a male suspect wanted in connection with the kidnapping and robbery of a woman on Sept. 9 in the Warm Springs area of Fremont. According to police, at about 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 9, a woman arrived home and exited her vehicle at a condominium complex in the vicinity of Mission Boulevard and Mohave Drive, when an unknown suspect approached her with a handgun.

The suspect pointed the handgun at the victim and told her to do what he said. He ordered her to get back into the vehicle and drive a short distance, police said. The suspect mentioned to the victim that his friend had just been shot and that people were looking for him, police said. According to police, the suspect then made the victim stop her vehicle. He took her money and fled the scene.

The victim was physically unharmed, police said. Fremont police called surrounding law enforcement agencies, but none had received a report of a recent shooting incident. The victim described the suspect as a Middle Eastern man in his mid 20s, standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing between 130 and 140 pounds. According to the victim, the suspect had a slender build, dark brown eyes, and dark brown or black hair, described as shaggy, wavy or curly in texture. The suspect had an unshaven face at the time of the incident, police said.
