Police arrested a 20-year-old burglary suspect in a stolen vehicle in San Leandro on Wednesday, police said. Maji Mosley, of unincorporated San Leandro, was arrested in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in the 1900 block of Dayton Avenue near Stenzel Park, police said. At about 11:26 a.m. on Wednesday, a resident heard a loud noise followed by an alarm.

The resident suspected that someone had broken into a neighbor’s residence and reported the suspicious activity to police. The citizen saw two burglars leaving the area and provided officers with a detailed description of the suspects and their getaway vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects lead the police on a brief pursuit.

The officers were eventually able to capture one of the suspects, however the second suspect evaded police. According to police, the suspects broke a rear door to gain entry to the victim’s residence. The suspect vehicle was recovered and determined to have been stolen in San Francisco on Sept. 18, police said.
