Thierry Truong and Hau Pham Arrested in Connection with Murder of Joe Miranda in San Jose

San Jose Police Press Release 9/23/13

On October 12, 2012 at approximately 1:43 A.M., the victim Joe Miranda was exiting from the Alo Bar located at 1725 Rogers Avenue in San Jose. Upon exiting the business, the victim Miranda was involved in a verbal altercation with unknown males. The victim was shot and killed in the parking lot of the business.

Detectives from the San Jose Homicide Unit continued following up on this case and identified the two suspects responsible for the murder. After they were identified, the San Jose Police Department’s Covert Response Unit (CRU) apprehended Suspect #1 Thierry Truong on September 19, 2013 in San Jose. Suspect #2 Hau Pham was arrested on May 7, 2013 in San Jose. The arrest of Suspect #2 Pham was withheld to give detectives and officers an opportunity to apprehend Suspect #1 Truong.

Suspect #1 Truong was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for murder and Suspect #2 Pham was booked into the County Jail for accessory after the fact.

  • Unbelievable the verdict just came out and these 2 scumbags are not guilty. Due to insufficient evidence even though they ratted each other out SMH!!
