Three male suspects attempted to rob customers and the owner of a taco truck in Salinas on Friday night, according to police. At about 10:45 p.m., near the corner of Holaday Avenue and East Alisal Street, one of the suspects, armed with a shotgun, attempted to rob two customers at a taco truck. The customers managed to run away on foot, police said. The suspects then attempted to rob the owner of the taco truck. When they discovered the proprietor had no money, the suspects fled on foot toward Center Street, police said.
All three suspects were described as thin Hispanic males. They were described as wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black pants, police said. The suspect with the shotgun had a white cloth covering his face, according to police.
