Police seized methamphetamine, heroin, weapons and arrested three suspects during a search of a residence in Santa Rosa on Thursday afternoon. At about 4:30 p.m. Santa Rosa police officers and detectives from the Narcotic Investigations Team served a search warrant at a home near West Third Street and Dutton Avenue as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. During the search of the home, officers located four individuals inside the residence and a fifth suspect in a vehicle outside the residence, according to police.
Police seized half a pound of methamphetamine, three ounces of heroin, two shotguns, two rifles, an AK47-style assault rifle, two handguns, various calibers of ammunition, packaging materials, and about $3,700.00 in cash. Police arrested Santa Rosa residents Lucas M. Martinez, 36, Juan Guadalupe Paniagua-Ferreira, 40, and Vanessa Sue Zamudio, 32 during the search of the residence. Paniagua-Ferreira and Zamudio were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Martinez was arrested and booked for possession of narcotics for sale, possession for sale of restricted dangerous drugs, possession of assault weapon, and possession of drugs while armed with loaded firearms. Two individuals were detained and then released at the scene, police said.
