Reina Figueroa San Jose’s 34th murder of 2013 on San Antonio Street

The San Jose Police Department is investigating the City’s 34th homicide of 2013. On September 3, 2013 at approximately 12:44 P.M., The San Jose Police Department’s 9-1-1 Communications Center received a report of an unresponsive female who was located inside a vehicle on the 1700 block of San Antonio Street in East San Jose.

Upon arrival, patrol officers located the victim, later identified as 49 year old Reina Figueroa, inside a vehicle. The victim Figueroa was pronounced deceased at the scene. The motive and circumstances surrounding the victim’s death are under investigation. San Jose Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and determined the victim’s death a homicide.

Investigators determined the victim and suspect were known to each other. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of Mrs.Figueroa. San Jose Police arrested the suspect Wednesday September 4, 2013 in San Jose. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for homicide. The suspect’s identity is not being released at this time until the District Attorney’s Office has reviewed the case.
