Salinas man shot infront of his house on Tahoe Drive by suspect was wearing a black ski mask

A man was injured during a shooting outside his home in Salinas early this morning, police said. According to police, at about 2:15 a.m. the 26-year-old male victim was leaving his residence in the 1700 block of Tahoe Drive to go to work when he heard two shots fired and ran back inside his home.
The man was struck in the leg by one of the rounds, police said. His injury did not appear life-threatening and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police. The male suspect was wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing at the time of the shooting and was seen running northbound on Tahoe Drive, according to police. The shooting is being investigated as gang-related.
