Man Bites Police Dog During Fight with Deputy Sheriff

An unidentified man punched, choked and bit “Ski” the police dog as a Santa Clara County deputy sheriff tried to arrest him in San Jose. The deputy was investigating a reported family disturbance when he encountered the man armed with a knife who charged at the deputy.

The deputy called for emergency help and eventually released the dog on the man. The man was then subdued and taken into custody.

Ski the police dog suffered minor injuries and will be off work for a few days.
