Pedestrian Killed In San Jose Hit-And-Run Was Identified As Carlton Ford, Driver Still Wanted

A pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run in East San Jose on Saturday night has been identified as Carlton Ford, 61, of San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office. Witnesses reported seeing Ford hit by a pickup truck in the area of Alum Rock and Harriet avenues at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The pickup was a late model, full-sized Ford truck with oversized tires that was possibly light-colored with a red stripe down the hood, CHP officials said. The driver of the pickup was last seen fleeing in the truck north on Pickford Avenue and then onto Hyland Avenue headed west, according to the CHP.
