Man Shot to Death in San Lucas, Monterey County

A man was shot and killed in the small community of San Lucas in Monterey County this afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s deputies and the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of the shooting just after 2 p.m. in the area of Julius Street, sheriff’s officials said.

They found a man already dead from gunshot wounds when they arrived. He was identified as Gabriel Vincent Tarango III, 34, of Gonzales.
