San Francisco police are seeking a man and woman who attacked a security guard while stealing beers from a supermarket along Market Street on Monday night. The robbery was reported at 11:52 p.m. in the 2000 block of Market Street. The suspects were seen attempting to steal the beers and were told by a security guard to put them back, according to police.

Rather than complying, one of the suspects hit the guard over the head with a belt and the pair fled with the beers, police said. The security guard declined to be transported to a hospital, according to police. The suspects, described as a woman between 20 and 25 years old and a man between 20 and 30 years old, had not been found as of this morning.
