Four juveniles from Oakland were arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery in San Leandro early Tuesday, police said. On Tuesday morning, shortly after midnight, police received a report that several male juveniles had assaulted and robbed a 62-year-old man walking in the 100 block of Estudillo Avenue, police said.
The boys engaged the victim in a brief conversation before punching him in the head, according to police. He fell to the ground, and the suspects stole his property. The suspects then fled the scene, police said. Officers observed the juveniles running from the area and set up a perimeter. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery, police said. The victim’s belongings were recovered, police said.
