Shots fired into home in Watsonville narrowly miss sleeping children

Police in Watsonville are investigating a shooting that nearly injured several children early this morning. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the first block of Roache Road at about 1:40 a.m., police said. Arriving officers saw that several bullets had been fired into a home, according to police. A number of the bullets had entered a room where several children were sleeping, police said. No injuries were reported, but police said one bullet was found on a bed near a sleeping infant. Police are continuing to investigate the case.
