Belmont police arrested two men found in a resident’s back yard this week after a neighbor called 911 to report suspicious activity. The men were spotted around 11 a.m. on Thursday by a resident in the 1100 block of Alomar Way, who saw them walking into a neighbor’s back yard, according to Capt. Patrick Halleran.

Police found two suspects, 25-year-old Jeremy Rice, of Los Banos, and 26-year-old Andrew Stafford, of San Jose, in the back yard. They were arrested on suspicion of prowling after officers determined they did not have permission to be on the homeowner’s property, Halleran said. The two did not enter the home.
