Jermaine Chapman Davis killed in a shooting in South Berkeley on Derby Street

Police have identified a man killed in a shooting in South Berkeley last Wednesday as Jermaine Chapman Davis, 26, of Berkeley. Davis was found after police received reports of shots fired in the 1800 block of Derby Street at 6:52 p.m., police said. He was rushed to a hospital with gunshot wounds but pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not identified any suspects.
