A man who robbed a Chase Bank branch at the Corte Madera Town Center on Wednesday morning is believed to have robbed another Marin County bank in January, a Central Marin Police Authority sergeant said today. The man entered the bank at 437 Corte Madera Town Center at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday and gave a teller a demand note, Sgt. Hamid Khalili said. The teller handed over cash and the man fled, Khalili said. No weapon was seen.
The robber is described as white, 35 to 40 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and roughly 170 pounds. He has brown-gray hair and green or blue eyes, and was wearing a plaid shirt, dark jacket, dark pants, black gloves and a brown beanie, police said.
The man is also suspected of robbing the Union Bank at 575 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Greenbrae on Jan. 9 and attempting to rob the Union Bank at 329 Redwood Highway Frontage Road in Mill Valley on Jan. 22, Khalili said.
