The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in the shooting death of a 21-year-old Dejon Ward.
According to detectives on July 12, 2013, Dejon Ward was shot to death in broad daylight while sitting in his parked car in a parking lot of a 7-Eleven in Arlington Heights. Ward was lost near Crenshaw and Venice boulevards and pulled over to look at a map. Dejon was approached by two men on foot, who can be seen in a surveillance video.
After being shot, Dejon attempted to drive away but crashed his bullet-ridden car into a nearby apartment building and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the below video, a man can be seen parking a silver Nissan Armada SUV in a lot and walking away. Seconds later, a male passenger exits the vehicle. Moments later, both men are seen running back to the vehicle and speeding off.
