Robert Samuel Jaime arrested for alleged San Jose murder of Myung Shin Oh

Police have arrested a man suspected of a beating under a San Jose overpass that led to a homeless man’s death weeks later. The beating was reported on June 9 at 1:07 p.m. under the overpass of state Highway 87 between San Fernando and Santa Clara streets, police said. The victim, identified as 46-year-old Myung Shin Oh, was found suffering serious injuries and taken to a hospital.

He died on July 6. On July 2, police arrested a suspect in the assault, identified as 20-year-old Robert Samuel Jaime, who is also homeless. Jaime was booked into jail on suspicion of the assault and on an unrelated felony warrant, police said. Following the victim’s death, Jaime was charged with involuntary manslaughter and remains in custody, according to police.
