Myung Shin Oh Assault Victim Dies, Robert Samuel Jamie Arrested for Alleged Involuntary Manslaughter in San Jose

On July 2, 2013 the San Jose Police Department identified and arrested 20 year old Robert Jaime in connection with the physical assault that left victim Myung Oh hospitalized. The suspect Jaime was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for the assault in addition to an unrelated felony warrant.

On July 6, 2013 at approximately 3:30 P.M., the victim Myung Oh was pronounced deceased at a local area hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained during the assault.

On July 17, 2013, The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office filed involuntary manslaughter charges against the suspect Jamie. This marks the City’s 29th homicide of 2013.

San Jose:
On June 9th, 2013, at approximately 1:07 P.M., The victim Myung Shin Oh was physically assaulted by an unknown suspect under the overpass of Highway 87 between San Fernando Street and Santa Clara Street. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital where he remains as of Thursday, June 20th, 2013. The unidentified suspect has not been located and remains at large.

San Jose Police Assault Unit Detectives have limited information on the assault and have not been able to talk to the victim due to his current medical condition. In addition, detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating any family or friends of the victim. Hospital staff has been unable to locate or contact any family members.
