A standoff that followed a shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District early this morning ended when police took the suspect into custody. The shooting was reported at about 4:35 a.m. in the 2400 block of Bryant Street. The victim called 911 and said he was shot by someone who lives in the same building he was calling from, police said.

Officers responded and surrounded the building, and the suspect was taken into custody at 7:13 a.m., according to police. The suspect’s name has not yet been released. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
