An 18-year-old man was stabbed by two suspects in Watsonville on Thursday night, police said. At about 8 p.m., police responded to the emergency room at Watsonville Community Hospital, where a man had arrived suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers spoke with the victim, whose injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the victim was uncooperative with the investigation, but he did tell officers that at about 6:30 p.m., two suspects approached him as he was walking on Ford Street near the intersection with Walker Street. The suspects attacked the victim, stabbing him multiple times, police said.
The suspects then fled the area and have not been found. According to police, the victim called a family member who transported him to the hospital for treatment. The victim would not provide any further information, and the motive for the stabbing is still being investigated.
