An employee and a customer were uninjured when someone shot into a Watsonville convenience store late Saturday night, police said. Officers were dispatched to reports of shots fired into the Quik Stop at 2140 Freedom Blvd. around 11:50 p.m., according to police. Police arriving on the scene found that someone had fired a round of gunfire into the store but that the worker and customer inside at the time were not hit.
Officers also discovered multiple bullet casings outside of the business, police said. Police said it does not appear that the store was the intended target in the shooting. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information about this case is strongly encouraged to call the
