Three Recent Oakland Homicide Victims Identified As Mortesse Wayne, Mustafa Abushi, And Teric Traylor

Oakland police today identified the three most recent homicide victims in their city. Mortesse Wayne, 23, of Oakland, was found shot in the 5700 block of Elizabeth Street, near Seminary Avenue, in East Oakland at about 9:48 p.m. Thursday and was pronounced dead on Saturday morning at a local hospital, police said. Mustafa Abushi, 28, of San Leandro, was identified by police as the man who was found shot to death inside his car at about 12:29 a.m. Friday after it had crashed at the intersection of 92nd Avenue and Cherry Street in East Oakland. A man who was found fatally shot in the 2200 block of San Pablo Avenue in West Oakland at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday was identified as 23-year-old Teric Traylor of Oakland. Police didn’t release any information about motives or suspects in the fatal shootings
