An on-duty San Francisco firefighter has been arrested on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of a collision that occurred while he was driving a fire truck late Saturday night, police said today. Police identified the firefighter today as 43-year-old Michael Quinn. The collision, which involved the fire truck and a motorcycle, happened at about 11:30 p.m. at Fifth and Howard streets in the city’s South of Market neighborhood, police said. The fire truck was responding to an emergency call with its lights and siren activated when it struck the motorcyclist, who was seriously injured but is expected to survive, according to police. Quinn was later arrested, police said. Sheriff’s department spokeswoman Susan Fahey said Quinn was no longer in custody this morning.
