Three PG&E Workers Robbed at Gunpoint in Oakland

Three Pacific Gas & Electric Company employees were robbed at gunpoint by three suspects in Oakland on Tuesday. Shortly before 11 p.m., a PG&E crew member that was working in the 2800 block of E. Eighth Street was approached by three men walking on Portwood Avenue.

The men waved him over and as the crew member walked away, the suspects grabbed him by his neck and held a gun to his head. Two crew members were working in a trench nearby and were also threatened by the suspects, according to PG&E. The three victims gave the suspects their wallets. The suspects fled on foot heading eastbound on E. Eighth Street and then north on Portwood Avenue. The workers were not injured.

The suspects are described as black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.

The first suspect was described as being in his late teens to mid 20s, standing 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, and wearing a beard.

The second suspect was described as being in his late teens, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds, and wearing a beard.

The third suspect was described as being in his mid to late teens, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and wearing glasses.
