Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in Brentwood over the past three weeks, police said. Following a two-week investigation, officers located and stopped a vehicle occupied by all four suspects in Brentwood on Monday night, police said. Police said a search of the vehicle turned up a number of stolen firearms, including guns that were recently stolen from Brentwood homes.
Officers arrested the driver, identified as 22-year-old Pierce Kendall Moore, and a passenger, 18-year-old Calvin James Brown, as well as two teens whose names are being withheld because they are juveniles, police said. All are Antioch residents. Further investigation led investigators to Antioch, where they discovered more property recently reported as stolen from homes in Brentwood, police said.
The suspects were each arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property, felony possession of a martial arts weapon and gun possession, police said. Investigators believe the suspects may be responsible for additional home burglaries in Antioch and Oakley, according to police. Police are advising Brentwood residents to protect their property by ensuring that all doors and windows are locked before leaving home, removing valuables from view inside of vehicles and reporting any suspicious activity to police at (925) 778-2441.
