Justin Nix of Salinas arrested after reportedly violating a restraining order

A man was arrested Saturday after reportedly violating a restraining order in Salinas, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to a report of a man violating a restraining order in the 17500 block of River Run Road in Salinas at about 12:40 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s officials said. Justin Nix, 28, of Salinas, the suspect who reportedly violated the restraining order, was seen fleeing the scene on a bike, according to the sheriff’s office.

Nix, who is on probation for two felony cases and a misdemeanor case, was spotted behind a home by deputies and became resistant and combative, sheriff’s officials said. Soon after, Nix was taken into custody without injury and was booked into county jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
