Subway Sandwich Restaurant Robbed in Danville, Police Release Alleged Suspect Photo

Police are seeking a man who robbed a Subway restaurant in Danville on Thursday afternoon and may also be responsible for an attempted robbery in San Ramon earlier that day. The robbery was reported at about 5:20 p.m. Thursday at the Subway restaurant in the Rose Garden Shopping Center in the 700 block of Camino Ramon, Danville police said.

The suspect came into the business, ordered food, then pulled out a handgun from his backpack and demanded cash from the register. Employees gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled, riding a bicycle away south on the Iron Horse Regional Trail, police said. The suspect remains at large.

He was described as a white or Hispanic man in his early 20s who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 130 pounds and was wearing a white T-shirt, plaid shorts and a black hat, police said.
