Police have arrested a man they say killed another man in San Jose by attacking him with a machete. Christopher Lema, 19, was arrested in the 1000 block of Blossom Hill Road at 8 p.m. Tuesday. He was only a few blocks from where the murder happened on May 16. Lema is suspected of killing 36-year-old Demetrius Porter that day, who was found in the 400 block of Blossom Hill Road at 1:18 a.m. with multiple stab wounds. Porter was pronounced dead there. Both Porter and Lema may have been homeless. Police said that they had no prior connection and the motive for the attack remains unclear.
